AutoTrix Mustang Sequential Tail light Kit

For all of you that may be on the fence about ordering these, I say pull the trigger! I had the more expensive version for my Mach1 when I had it, and they are the same quality if not better..... The splice in kit even for the novice is quite simple, and def get the slower relay.

Complete install took about 40-45 mins... The second light goes alot faster! My .02 ;)

today i installed some load resisters and loaded the sequential tails with LED's... i think it Looks sick.

also i bent the prongs on a 3157 bulb backwards and installed them in the reverse lights. Gives each side like another 12 watts or so running both filaments.

autotrix sequentials = $50
GP Thunder 20 LED wide angle bulbs = $14 a Pair ,cheapest i could find em
Load resisters = 10 bucks

So about $105 give or take. I love em.

So I just installed my autotrix sequential tail light kit tonight. I suggest using snap wire connectors along with the crimp on butt connectors because its hard to stuff two or three wires into one inlet. And when combining the GRD wires from the L3 socket and harness it is very difficult because when you cut them in half it is hard to angle both of them together into a butt connector. But overall I am very pleased with how things turned out. The instructions were very clear and it only took about 30 minuets to install

Just installed my plug and play with the slower flasher. Great product and easy install. I like.

Just installed them yesterday no relay yet. It's the non plug and play kit, took me about an hour but now that I know how to do it I could probably knock it out in half that time.

Tip: The instructions have you do it all on the car. It was much easier when I took out the wiring harness and bulbs and did the mod on a work bench.

AutoTrix F-Body Window Fix Kit

I got mine installed about a month and a half ago. It was a PITA as Im 6'6" and crawling around under the dash is pretty hard for me. I also wish that I would of known to cut off more wire that came on the kit as so it would fit more easily in the door panel but Ill probably fix it sometime soon.

Works great and now the passenger side window goes down faster than the drivers!!

www.ls1tech.com 2-04-2009 -bballr4567

I just installed my Autotrix kit today about 30 minutes ago. I have to say... that was the most amazing thing ive ever seen. I was expecting my window to roll down at a normal pace and roll back up halfway like it used to. Hell, I thought it may not even work... But it worked... and it worked REALLY well. I didnt even have to replace the motor!

The hardest part of the install was just removing parts from the car to run the wiring. Everything else is pretty easy with the instructions.

Seriously, if you are the slightest bit mechanically inclined, or you know someone who could install this for you... order this kit!

I can vouch for this kit! I bought the passenger side relay kit and the drivers side express down kit and they're both a night and day difference.

The passenger side used to struggle quite a bit, and made some horrible noises (like a dying cow). After installing these, the windows are both lightning fast and the mysterious noise is gone! I had second thoughts at first, but after buying and installing the kits I am glad I did.

just installed my passenger side kit and was really impressed.

I just have to say I love this product! I've had it installed for about 6 months now, and never go tired of racing the windows up, only to see the passenger window win every time. I've done the thermistor bypass on the motor, but it didn't speed it up at all. The Autotrix kit did the trick though. Took about an hour to install, including completely hiding the wires. Good quality parts too; large guage wires, even extra crimps. I've already recommended it to both of my brothers for their F-bodies.

I put mine on a few weeks ago, and it worked like a charm. I had a few issues because I'm dumb and still cut the wrong brown wire, despite having the wiring diagram right next to me. lol. But, you guys were really helpful with emailing me back and forth to make sure that I got everything done up right, and I couldn't be any happier with the product. Everyone with an Fbody with power windows definately needs this kit.

installed my passenger window fix this weekend. . . . and it fixed it!! my window would stop about 2 inches from rollin up, and now rolls up all the way! i finally dont have to get out and pull it up!! autotrix has excellent instructions and made the install easy!!

I am another happy customer. I installed it in about 45 minutes. I could not be happier. It is an awesome product and well worth the money! Anyone who doesn't upgrade to this kit is an absolute idiot. It is night and day

"I just finished mine up and the hype is true! It goes up much fast now even with the car off!! I recommend this kit to anyone with a slow passenger window. Great idea, great kit, and great price!"

-Red99TA

"Well, I installed my kit today after work and it was a fairly simple install. I have to say this modification really works great. It rolls down about the same speed as my driverside window and rolls up even faster.

thanks autotrix!"

-MyKeySS

"Got it in today and installed it. Was skeptical but it definitely works. just in the knick of time too cuz my passenger motor has been struggling as of late. Worth the $30 guys."

-BlackHawkSS

"I just want to say that the shipping is great on this! I just ordered on Friday night and my package got here on Tuesday!!! Now that is service. The instructions also look to be very clear and I'll post how it goes when I install it hopefully tomorrow if the weather clears up! I'm a rookie at this so if I can do it than anybody can do it. Thanks again for the quick shipping!

Alright I got it done in like an hour on Saturday. Very easy to do with the instructions they provide! He even gave me his personal cell number which I called and got assistance for something simple. All I called for was to see how he got all the grounds wired together in 1 butt connector. He helped me and then I was done! Before I didn't even want to open the passenger side for fear of it not closing at all. Now my passenger window works faster than my driver's side, and the driver's side has a new motor thats like 8 months old! Very good product, shipping, and customer service! Two thumbs up!"

-porksoda

"Got it in today and immediately installed it. I'll be damned if my passenger window goes faster now than my drivers!"

-mysstery_machine

"I highly recommend this. Made a hell of a difference in my 99 TA.

-tomz240

"I have had this kit sitting around for awhile now but I finally got it installed today. Took longer to take everything apart than to actually wire it up. I must say that I am happy with it. My window before the kit was slow as molasses but now works faster than the driver side which was changed once already. BTW this is the original passenger side window motor in my 98 Camaro "

-Spade

"Just finished my install. Works like a charm!! Thank you!"

-sping012

"I ordered this kit and installed it about a month ago, best $35.00 I have ever invested into my Z28. Thanks for the fix. Rick"

-rdewalt

"works amazing.

window goes up faster than it goes down now anyway.

best 30 dollars i'll spend on the car this year."

thanks,

-wvaboy

"I bought the kit and installed it. My passenger window goes up really fast now. I wish there was something I could do to make the driver's side go up this fast."

-nick_4.8sierra

"DONE.. easy to install, and it works great.

I only wish they made one for the Driver window.

But this is a great product for a great price. So if your PS window is slow then buy this product."

-UB2SLO

"I installed the window motor fix when I replaced both of the window motors in my 99 Firebird. It works great. There is no more slowing down when using both windows at the same time.

-Lars99WS6formula

"awesome kit!!!

totally worth the $49 shipped

saved alot of time not thinking how to do it myself & everything is proper lengths with fool proof directions

good job!!!"

-1baddls1

"I ordered this wiring kit from a website that was mentioned on here by another member which is supposed to fix the slow passenger side window problem a lot of these cars have. Since it was only 30 bucks, I figured...eeh..why not?

So it finally arrived (was on backorder, popular product it seems) and the seller emailed us detailed instructions for the installation.

All in all it took my buddy about 3 hours to install it, but it was worth it, now it works like a charm. Seems like GM did some crappy engineering on these cars when it comes down to wiring, and as a result, the passenger window motor doesn't get enough juice. It was a pretty involved installation. The door panel had to come out, so did the passenger footwell kick and side panel. We had to add some relays and a bunch of wires to the stock wiring, had to do some wire cutting and splicing, the cars computer had to be removed to be able to pass the new wires through the firewall into the engine compartment....all sorts of fun.

But it does work!"

-Mannyh

"i have to say, this kit is very nice. it has everything you need and plenty of wire too.

the install was easy and works very good."

-lsp408

"well installed mine today and must say, it really sped up the passenger side alot. my drivers didn't change, but it may need a good greasing or motor maybe about to go. wasn't a hard install at all. the only thing i recommend to autotrix is that you either send that 14mm wrench you all used to fish the wires through the door tube (that must be 5' long with a little kink in it) or a simple #12 solid ground wire for shoving through first like i had to do. other than almost cutting the front clip off to get the pcm out and back in, i did't have any probs. thanks for such a cool product that actually works."

"This last week I bought a Window Fix from Autotrix.net. It got here in 2 days and I put it on a couple days later. It didn't take me long and the instructions were great.

The next day that I drove my car I had some real issues. While driving all of my gauges would go down as if the car was off, but then come back up as if nothing had happened. So I sent Autotrix a PM on these boards about my problem.

After only an hour I had a PM back with step by step instructions on the wiring. Jed also gave me his number to call him about my problem. So after walking me through for about 30 minutes on the wiring while I was at my car, we narrowed it down to being a bad relay. Jed sent me a pair of relays that day so I could fix the problem.

After narrowing it down to a relay I removed the relays so that it would be as if nothing was changed in the door. But as I was driving to school today it did it again. I took my car back home and popped the hood to look for my problem. And of course it was my fault. I hadn't tightened down the power lead properly and it was moving around while I was driving, causing me to lose power.

I called Jed and told him what I had found out, and he laughed and said "Well, you will have a couple new relays in the mail tomarrow!" This is probably the best customer service I have had, and a great product. If you haven't seen this product go over to Autotrix.net, it's worth the money, and the customer service is great. Thanks again Jed."

"Just finally got my kit installed today. Everything went fine - followed instructions. Only difference is I took my positive right off the battery instead of running across car to aux battery post.

I also drilled some holes in inner door panel so as to be able to use wire ties to hold relays in place on door instead of letting them dangle around.

I already had done the PS Express Down Mod - this kit worked in conjunction with that kit perfectly.

Window works beautifully!

"I live in the UK and ordered this kit last month.

The kit arrived safe and sound. I've now completed the installation.

Last Saturday was made up of -

morning - fit NEW window motor to Drivers side.

afternoon - fit Autotrix Kit to Passenger window (original 50,000 mile motor).

The kit was straight forward to install, the instructions are very clear (plenty of illustrations as well). Wiring modifications are carried out, basically, with a pair of wire cutters and crimping pliers.

Now my old 50,000 mile passenger window motor is just as fast as my brand new driver side motor.

Even paying a bit extra for shipping and handling to the UK, the cost of the kit is well worth the money."
