Default 2004 SVT Cobra Mustang

Here are a few pics of my cobra after I had washed and waxed her before the winter hit. I applied all of my wax and sealer by hand and I did two coats of sealer, one wax, and buffed the rest out with a quick detailer.
Enjoy!

Looks nice man! I have a black 01 Cobra that diffinately needs some love on the paint. I havent wax or buffed it since I have owned it almost 2 1/2 years. What products did you use? Any special method of doing it. I know some people say that you shouldnt really buff black cause of swirl marks and what not.

I used the prima stuff autotrix sells and some other auto parts store shelf items. I would be real careful with black. But for mine I washed it with dawn soap first to really degrease the exterior paint. (dont use this on a regular basis) Next I clayed the entire car with a meguires claybar and clay lubricant. This is the best thing you can do for your car you can really feel the results after a good claying. There are several online vids out there. Here is a good one http://paintcare-n-detailing.com/pinnacle.html
Just click the "clay bar" section on the side and the video will start, good stuff!
You can pick up a clay bar kit at autozone.

I then used the Epic sealant and went over the entire car once and pretty much just kept going around and buffed back off all within an hour or so. It only set there on the paint for 30-40 minutes a section. I then applied another coat of epic on the entire car and this time I let it sit. I came back in 2 hours and buffed it off.

Then I applied one coat of the Banana Wax and buffed it off. I always go back over the car again with a quick detailer to get the last bits of wax off. The Slick quick detailer is good for plastic, glass, rubber and paint so I just wet the entire car down with this stuff and buff it off.

I do this at least twice a year.

and thanks for the completments

I have a clay bar, but never done it on this car. I'm really gonna do some TLC in a month or so when it gets warmer here. I'm at the point also to do some routine care on her too. A good radiator flush and what not. Thanks for the advice
